Cleo Mavriplis, MD, CCFP, FCFP

Cleo Mavriplis is a family physician with 41 years of clinical and teaching experience. She has practised in Quebec and Ontario, occupying several leadership positions at University of Ottawa and McGill University.  She is currently Assistant Professor, Department of Family Medicine, University of Ottawa; Chercheur affilié Institut du Savoir Montfort and Adjunct Professor, Department of Family Medicine, McGill University. Her research interests include preventive care and digital innovations to improve access to care. Through a collaboration with the Faculty of Engineering uOttawa she has developed the only Canadian bilingual, free, evidence-based preventive care website and webapp: www.icanbewell.ca ; www.choixsante.ca en français. This digital tool is featured by the College of Family Physicians of Canada as a key resource. Currently icanbewell is being improved with suggestions from a survey study done this past summer with Sophia Siedlikowski, uOttawa medical student. The improvements aim to improve access to preventive care for the public with and without a primary care provider.
